Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 September 2026
ETF Clarity is deliberately built to know as little about you as possible: no account, no name, no email address. This page explains exactly what does happen with your screenshot and the data you enter.
Who is responsible?
ETF Clarity is a separate project by koersradar.nl. Questions about privacy can be emailed to info@koersradar.nl.
What happens with your screenshot
- Your screenshot is sent to our server and from there forwarded once to the Claude API (Anthropic) to read the positions (fund names, ISINs, amounts) from the image.
- The file is not stored β not on our server, not in a database. After the analysis, it's gone.
- We ask you to crop out your name and account number from the screenshot before uploading it yourself. That's for your own privacy; the tool doesn't need that data and doesn't use it even if it accidentally remains in the image.
- Anthropic processes the image as an API call (no training on your data under their commercial API terms) and retains it according to their own retention policy, not ours.
What data we process
- Tickers/ISINs and amounts β read from your screenshot or entered manually by you, used only to calculate the overlap report. This isn't personal data: nothing in it traces back to you as a person.
- Technical data β our hosting provider (Netlify) records standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser used) to keep the site working and secure, and to enforce the rate limits that prevent abuse and excessive costs. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a safe, affordable website.
- There's no account, no sign-in, no email address required to use the tool.
We don't sell your data and don't use it for profiling or automated decision-making.
Cookies
ETF Clarity itself places no tracking or advertising cookies and doesn't use analytics to track your browsing behaviour. A few third-party components do load, though:
| Party | What for | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | Loading typefaces | Technical / third party |
| Anthropic (Claude API) | Reading your screenshot and looking up fund data | Processor, no cookies on your device |
| Broker partners (via affiliate link) | Click tracking when you click through from the broker comparison | Affiliate / tracking, only on a click |
You can always manage or delete cookies yourself via your browser's settings.
Referral to brokers
The broker comparison contains links to external providers. If you click such a link, that party can determine you came via ETF Clarity. Three of those links are paid affiliate links (see the comparison itself for which) β this costs you nothing extra and doesn't affect the order or content of the comparison. The broker's own website has its own privacy policy, over which we have no influence.
Payment (full report) and right of withdrawal
The full report is a one-off payment. No real payment provider is connected to the tool yet β once it is, that provider processes your payment details directly under their own terms; we ourselves don't see or store your payment details.
Once payment is active: the full report is digital content delivered immediately upon payment. Under European distance-selling rules, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase, but this lapses for digital content you have delivered immediately β we'll ask you to explicitly and separately confirm this before payment, not merely via this page. By doing so you knowingly agree to lose your right of withdrawal in exchange for immediate access to your report.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- know what data we process about you;
- object to the processing of your data;
- file a complaint if you feel we're not handling this carefully.
Because we don't keep an account or email address, there's in practice little to view or delete β your screenshot and your ISINs/amounts only exist during your own session. Still have a question? Email info@koersradar.nl. If we can't resolve it together, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (or your own country's supervisory authority within the EU).
